Exit, Edie?

Sometimes we can't verify a story, but it sounds so good we just have to share. We don't know if this story is true, but folks are talking about it and we want you to know about it!

Rumors are swirling around the "Desperate Housewives" set that Nicollette Sheridan has been axed and that her character, Edie Britt, will be killed off.

But Nicollette has giggled off the gossip, insisting that the neighborhood hussy's adventures are far from over. "Please! Edie's going to be causing trouble. The house hags have done terrible, terrible things to Edie," she told "Extra." She even hinted that Edie may be, in fact, the last Housewife standing: "There will only be one moment of true revenge when all of them are gone, and Edie remains!" Sounds like a perfectly twisted series finale to us ... .

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. What about this year's season finale? We hear it's gonna be a doozy. Word is that Dylan (Lyndsy Fonseca), the memory-challenged offspring of Katherine (Dana Delaney), is really the daughter of Susan (Teri Hatcher)!

We know what you're thinking: That can't be true, because Susan's daughter Julie (Andrea Bowen) is the same age. Well, can you say switched at birth? We can -- and we just can't wait to see if this scandal really goes down.
