Kate Voegele is having a blast taking a break from her role as Mia on "One Tree Hill." The 21-year-old singer-songwriter is on the road, belting out her catchy rock tunes to sold-out audiences across the country.
In a classic case of life imitating art -- or is it art imitating life? -- the music Mia performs on the CW show is actually Kate's music. Tracks from Kate's debut album, "Don't Look Away," are woven into the storylines. In fact, the album was re-released on the very day she arrived on the series in January.
"It was really amazing to see my songs take form in the plot," Kate told Teen Vogue. "I'm incredibly lucky to have had such a great vehicle for getting my music to the public and so many amazing people around me that have been so willing to help and see my career benefit from it."
Ironically, Mia has been trying to break into the music business, but it's only her real-life counterpart who's had true success.
Does watching Kate sing on "One Tree Hill" make you want to buy her album?
