No "View" for Mariah

We've been psyched about Mariah Carey going on "The View" ever since we found out a few weeks ago that she was set to appear. We especially couldn't wait to see her perform. But mostly, we were looking forward to hearing her talk about when the Empire State Building was lit up in pink, lavender, and white last week to celebrate the release of her album "E=MC2." It was SO weird -- and we knew the co-hosts would say so.

Anyway, at the last minute, Mariah canceled (she was scheduled to tape on Monday, May 5). Hmm ... but why? A spokesperson for "The View" confirmed that the diva did cancel, but remained mum about a reason.

Well, inquiring minds want to know: Is it because she's planning a honeymoon with Nick Cannon? After all, the buzz is that they secretly got married, as we recently reported. We hear rumors that she's been on the phone (or, rather, her "people" have been on the phone) all day with travel agents. Hey, Mariah -- show us some love and confirm, will you?
