Sometimes we can't verify a story, but it sounds so good we just have to share. We don't know if this story is true, but folks are talking about it and we want you to know about it!
He's conquered Orange County and is currently tackling the angst of NYC. What's left for Josh Schwartz? Teen drama -- on superpowers.
CHUD.com reports that the "OC" and "Gossip Girl" creator is writing a movie prequel to the popular mutant comic book/film series "X-Men." In typical Schwartz style, the flick will follow a teenager (we're thinking a Dan Humphrey/Ryan Atwood "outsider" type) who joins the Xavier Institute.
CHUD adds that the rumor's original source (Black Book magazine) has since removed the news from its website after talking to Schwartz himself. Does the sudden silence imply contract issues, or that it's flat-out untrue? We're not sure -- but we'd love to see "X-Men: OMFG."
Do you think an "X-Men" prequel is a good idea?
