OK, we're excited: David Sutcliffe, the Canadian actor best known for his role as Christopher (Rory's dad) on "Gilmore Girls," is coming back to "Private Practice." David guest-starred in two episodes last season as Kevin Nelson, a cop who was into Dr. Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh).
They originally met when Kevin came to the Oceanside Wellness Center for a friend's delivery; naturally, they made moon eyes at each other, but Addison's relationship neurosis got in the way. The name of that neurosis? Pete (Tim Daly). But in the season finale, she went to the police station, where she and Kevin gave each other that ol' "we're-going-to-start-dating-or-at-least-move-into-a-new-story-arc" glance.
With the news of David's 11-episode return, the dating thing seems like a go. Too bad we'll have to wait until "Private Practice" returns this fall to see more of this fine slice of Canadian bacon. Yeah, SOAPnet.com has a crush. What of it?
