Rick Springfield is Back!

Ever since Finola Hughes brought secret agent Anna Devane back to "General Hospital," we've wondered "Where the heck is Dr. Noah Drake?" You know, the playboy surgeon turned alcoholic who was THE reason to watch "General Hospital" back in the day? Well, our questions (and prayers) have been answered, because the character -- and his original portrayer, Rick Springfield -- is set to return to the show on July 8.
(Tangent thought: How awesome was Rick's '80s anthem "Jessie's Girl"? Ever since we heard he's coming back, it's been stuck in our head. That's a good thing, BTW.)
Anyway, when last seen in 2007, Noah was convinced by Anna to step in for his look-alike -- rocker Eli Love (also played by Rick) -- at an AIDS charity concert. Unfortunate, since Noah hates musicians (Irony, party of one!). Shortly after the concert, Anna and Eli left town on a world adventure, while Noah sort of faded into the background. But Rick's now set to return -- as Noah AND Eli.
So how will Noah take the news that his son Patrick (Jason Thompson) is going to make him a grandpa? And will Eli and Anna have a reunion? And will all fourth walls be broken when the cast, led by Rick, bursts into a rousing rendition of "Don't Talk to Strangers"?
We're not counting on the latter ... but you KNOW you wanna see the hospital's Nurses Station bust out into a musical number.

Fell in love with Rick during his first run as Dr. Noah. In fact ruined a couple closet doors on him when I was a teenager, had posters all over. He was just hot. My 1st disc in my CR-V is Rick's greatest hits including "Jessie's Girl" Rick, like a fine wine, gets better with age

Ricks return will be some refreshing excitment I,m anxious to see how,the Finola's charactor and Eli plays out.Noah will be happy though that Patricks trying to settle down,and especially with Robin. I think Noah will put an end to this battle over this baby,that Robin and Patrick have created.

I am so excited! I can't wait to see how Noah reacts to being a grandfather. Also, looking forward to Eli singing "What's Victoria's Secret."

i wanna see ric come back i kinda liked noah and anna together and with the whole rockstar thing it was funny but i wanna see most of all how he gonna react to the being a grandpa lol i dont think its gonna go well

I am so EXCITED that Rick is returning to GH. He is one of the reasons why I watch GH, although I have been watching GH since 1978. I really think that Patrick needs his father since he is approaching fatherhood himself. This is exactly what GH needs to get their ratings up. Kudos for GH for approaching RS to come back to GH! I am anxious to see Rick on GH as Noah/ Eli. I am counting the days, woo-hoo!

I am thrilled Rick is returning to Gh! I look for him daily and miss him daily. He is still a reason to watch GH - so great and Patrick needs him! Their on air screen time together is really great viewing and a little Anna/Noah action would be fun - they are adorable together! With the return of Rick, Noah and Eli - some singing too on the show again (it will be almost a year!) would be wonderful. Hurray for GH being wise enough to bring back this gorgeous talented rocker actor! Hurray Rick Springfield returns!
