Graziadei Gets "Restless" in Hawaii

"The Young and the Restless" is losing fan fave Michael Graziadei. But don't worry! It's just temporarily, so Michael can be in Hawaii to shoot the MGM movie "The Reef" with sexy co-stars like Chris Carmack from "The OC" and Laura Vandervoort (a.k.a. Supergirl from "Smallville").

"I'm gonna be in Oahu for five or six weeks," Michael tells SOAPnet.com. "The show was more than cooperative and totally cool to let me go and do it, so a big thank you to them."

In his adventure flick, Michael plays a bad boy (appropriately named Mace) who gets mixed up in a hunt for buried treasure. "He's definitely not Daniel Romalotti!" Michael says with a laugh. "This guy's got a bite to him, but at the same time, he's extremely loveable. I've gotten diving certified because I'm gonna be diving in the movie. There's car chases and gunplay, and it's gonna be a lot of fun."

But back to "The Young and the Restless." How will Daniel be written out of Genoa City while the actor's away? Look for Michael Damian to return as his rock star daddy, Danny Romalotti, on May 27. Daniel will then head off on tour with Danny for some much-needed father/son bonding time. The younger Romalotti will come back home sometime in July.
