The Phoenix Rises Again!

Huge news! Have you heard that Joseph Mascolo is coming back to "Days of our Lives" as legendary bad guy, Stefano DiMera?
We know what you're thinking and yes, we did report just last month that Joe was irate over the show's decision to let him go after more than 25 years of playing the popular role. And he was. But now, it seems that he -- and executive producer Ken Corday -- have had a major change of heart.
Joe told Soap Opera Digest, "I love Ken and have always felt the bond between us. And, I love the character of Stefano ... I'm thrilled we were able to talk things out and reach a mutual conclusion, that there are some exciting storylines we can do together when Stefano comes out of his coma."
We couldn't agree more! Especially now that John (Drake Hogestyn), has taken over the DiMansion and the entire DiMera empire. What evil scheme will Stefano dream up to oust his long-lost brother and take back his rightful place? And what about Marlena (Deidre Hall)? She's the reason he's been trapped in a torturous catatonic state all this time. Surely he'll have to avenge the misdeed by carrying out one of his famously diabolical revenge plots against the well-coiffed heroine ... and probably her entire family as well.
OMG, we can hardly wait! But it seems we'll have to, because Joe won't be making his way back to Salem until sometime in early August. Check back for more details as we get 'em.

Will Shwan and Bell return to Days of our lives any time soon. I am glad to see that Stefano will be returning. He and the Brady clan makes the show. And when will we find out who really shot E.J. I don't think Lucas did it. I think his son shot E.J. and he is taking the blame. Thank you Wildergirl1919

I too would like to see days quit being shifted around. I really enjoyed Sunday night at seven but now those lame shows and movie really suck. I really don't understand why you can't show it every night of the week. Or at least at a decent hour on the weekends

Amen! My friends and I also have watched since Days came on the air. I chose my satellite package based on soapnet. No more taping. Whew! Now it looks like I should go back to taping and get a cheaper package since they have messed with Days. And why the heck did soapnet remove the sunday evening marathon and put on a stupid movie??? So much for satisfying the customer.

WELL, WELL, WELL!!!!!! It seems people are upset about Days new schedule on soapnet. It's about time!!!!! Why is Days the only soap that gets pushed all over the schedule? Some os us have been with the show since the sixty's. Now my schedule doesn't always match up with 1p.m., so it was great having a second chance at 7p.m. Oops, now it's 11p.m. Oops!!!!! Now it's only 3 nights a week. The powers that be should stop and think, NBC makes good money on sports, but Days makes money on mom's and homemakers. If it wasn't for us, who would be buying all the products advertised during Days from P&G? Please stop playing with our favorite show and give us our show back 5 nights a week

I for one,cannot wait for The Phoenix to rise again! I love this character, and was mad when he was taken off although it was brillant how they had Marlena put him in a coma.

Hello fellow Soap fans. First of all I'd like to say that the idea of Stefano coming back, yet again is exhausting already. I have nothing against the actor but enough already. And how long will John be like he is now? I don't like it at all, it hurts too much to see Marlena going through all of this pain because of what Stefano did to John. ENOUGH! As for the Soap Network's airing of DOOL at 11:00 pm its all about politics people; if you notice all the shows on watchable times are from ABC. The other two networks (CBS, NBC) only get a "token" soap represented there. Why don't they switch DOOL with Young and Restless? Who in the hell is awake on a weekday that late to watch anything? Unless you've got the next day off, its ludicrous. How did Ava worm her way to John? How come she's not doing some prison time for what she did? Regardless of how she got so messed up. I've been watching this soap opera for over thirty years and I've never been this frustrated over the lives of Salem's residents. However, it looks like the sands of the hourglass will finally run out, because DOOL will be off the air soon. No surprise there, really. Just consider the nonsense they're airing now, its only a matter of time. I don't know exactly when, but its coming folks, so gird your loins!!

i to wish dool came on at 7:00 not only do they move it now they take it off on thursday for m.v.p. and i think they will also take it off on tuesday for g.h. night shift i wish soap net would keep day s on every night of the week it will be interesting when Stefano gets back maybe he will slap that stupid look off John face

I have watched Days since I was a child. Unfornately now I only get to read about the happenings of Days. I was so happy when I discovered Soapnet, because Days came on at 7PM at that time, which was great for those of us who work from 8 til 5 Monday to Friday. Then Soapnet, changed it from 7 to 11, then again back to 7, then to 12. I wish that soapnet would air Days at 7 again. I think more of us would be able to watch and enjoy Days. And I am glad that Stefano is waking from his coma. He makes Days more interesting.
