So Long, Paul

Bad news for Morgan's (Kristen Renton) ethically challenged dad, Paul ... he'll be leaving Salem in a "final way" when portrayer Linden Ashby exits on Thursday, June 19. We're not sure what "final way" means exactly, but we're guessing it can't be good.
In the past few weeks, Paul has gotten himself in a mess of trouble playing both sides of the Philip/John feud and exploiting his power as a customs official for shady purposes. Still, we can't help but feel for Paul. He is, after all, pretty guilt-ridden over his wrongdoings -- and it seems like he's really trying to make things right with his daughter. Heck, we might even miss the guy when he's gone.
We'll definitely miss watching Linden, who's played the heck out of his role as Paul. Like he did as Curtis on "Loving," Coop on "Melrose Place," and especially as Cameron on "The Young and the Restless." And we can't wait to check out his upcoming film projects, including "Breaking Point," "Anaconda 4: Trail of Blood," "Hunger," and "Dead at 17." Busy much, Linden?
