Darin's Rockin' Pre-Emmy Bash!

It's Daytime Emmys week, and the festivities kicked off with a serious bang last weekend when "Days of our Lives" star -- and Young Actor nominee -- Darin Brooks (Max) threw a huge Pre-Emmy bash at Hollywood hotspot Area.

One thing's for sure -- this guy definitely knows how to throw a party! He invited all of his friends from Salem to join in the celebration -- including Young Actress nominee Rachel Melvin AND legendary Lead Actor nominee Thaao Penghlis. And there were plenty of other celebs on hand to join in the fun, including Emily O'Brien (Jana, "The Young and Restless") who's also nominated in the Young Actress category, and the Non-P Squad, whose rockin' beats kept the crowd dancing all night long.

Plus, Darin partnered with Rob Valletta (ex-Dan) and his Tag the World organization so the proceeds from the event would go to not one, not two, but FIVE charitable causes: Humane Society, Cancer, Save the Children, Environment, and Africa. How cool is that?

Of course, we couldn't leave before asking Darin how he's feeling about his big nomination. "I'm nervous, man," he laughed. "If I don't win I'm probably just going to get up anyway and walk up on stage."
