"Guiding Light" had another huge year at the Daytime Emmy Awards with nominations in the major categories, including Outstanding Drama Series, Writing Team, Lead Actress, Supporting Actress, Supporting Actor, and Younger Actor.
Gina Tognoni started the night out right with her Supporting Actress win, which she totally deserved because she is always soooo fabulous as bad girl Dinah Marler. Check out this video of Gina showing off her trophy. She was absolutely glowing!
Later, Tom Pelphrey (ex-Jonathan) nabbed his own trophy in the Younger Actor category. We had a feeling about this one -- he did some truly incredible work last year when Tammy died. Seriously, we get a lump our throat just thinking of that heart-wrenching scene when he climbed on top of her in the hospital bed. Just amazing. And lucky us, we got a chance to sit down with him backstage after his big win. Watch Tom's interview here.
Unfortunately, first-time nominee Nicole Forester didn't take home the Lead Actress prize this time around -- but she was so sweet and gracious as always. Plus, Nicole shot this video from her table thanking the fans for welcoming as the "new Cassie" ... Awww!
Isn't that cool? There were actually video cameras at all the tables so the stars could shoot their own candid footage during the show. You can see all of 'em right here.
And last, but not least, are you guys missing Beth Ehlers (ex-Harley) and Ricky Paull Goldin (ex-Gus) as much as we are? Well, we have some exclusive footage of the superfun pair that you HAVE to see. Aren't they just so cute together?
