Want to know what's blowing our minds right now? "Gossip Girl": a show about a gaggle of hot young things whose lives are relentlessly chronicled by a blogger that STARS a gaggle of hot young things whose lives are relentlessly chronicled by bloggers. To be specific -- it's been over a month since Georgina got ambushed, Dan and Serena shared their last dance, and Lily broke Rufus's heart by going ahead with her wedding. But the aforementioned "Gossip Girl" news machine doesn't stop for pesky technicalities like "air dates." In the last three days alone:
- Taylor Momsen, a.k.a. the almost spun-off Jenny Humphrey, landed a modeling contract with IMG, according to "Access Hollywood." The deal puts her in the company of such famous hotties as Drew Barrymore, Selma Blair, Heidi Klum, Liv Tyler, and Hilary Duff. Take that, Blair Waldorf!
- New York Magazine reports that Ed Westwick, who plays Chuck Bass (TV's top cad, if you ask us), was in a taxi cab accident on the way to performing in NYC with his band the Filthy Youth.
- Real-life New York socialite Tinsley Mortimer (as in -- according to Blair last season -- "Right now Gossip Girl's credibility is like Tinsley Mortimer's after a few martinis") was spotted shooting a cameo for the show in the Hamptons, per the Los Angeles Times. Along with Blake Lively, Tinsley was seen on set wearing all white. Which lends itself to the idea that the Constance Billard kids are going to Diddy's infamous party.
Who needs the actual show on the air when the "Gossip" keeps rolling in? Art, meet life. Life, art.
What's better: the show's stories or the cast's real-life escapades?
