Feathers

Designers have gone on a flight of fancy this season. The idea first took to the air at Erin Fetherston's show last September, where the California-born designer stuck white feathers into models' hair before they floated down the runway. The trend gathered more speed this past February at Marchesa, where the designers trimmed dresses in rows of understated plumage. Feathers, no matter how kooky they may seem, are actually easier to pull off than you think -- that is, unless you choose to go the SJP route and wear a giant green-plumed Philip Treacy hat, as she did for the "Sex and the City" premiere in London.
But with all the new options out there, from single feathers for the hair to feather-trimmed dresses or even peacock-print dresses, every bird's sure to find her mate. If you're ready for a new pair of wings, then go ahead and soar through our feather-full slideshow.
