From "The OC" to the OBGYN

Recognize "Secret Life of the American Teen" star Shailene Woodley from a SOAPnet classic? That's because she played Kaitlin Cooper, Marissa's spoiled pony-riding little sister on "The OC" who was banished to a rapid-aging boarding school after Season One.

When we first met Kaitlin, she was in fifth grade, and her biggest concern was her pony China's alopecia. Two years later she was back -- in tenth grade, and played by Willa Holland. From Shailene's innocent time, "Mini Coop" was turned into a troublemaker fit to replace older sis Marissa's unsensible shoes (after the Mischa Barton character was so cruelly killed by villain Volchuk).

There's no need to worry about the "American Teen" star, though. She may have missed a chance to play an Orange County bad girl, but she finds herself in a whole mess of trouble in her new ABC Family drama. As Amy Juergens, Shailene plays a 15-year-old facing an unplanned pregnancy. And that's way more complicated than any harebrained scheme Kaitlin hatched to get her mom and Bullit together.
