"As the World Turns": Sneak Peek!

The saga of Sofie (Justine Cotsanas) comes to an explosive end this week on "As the World Turns" after she convinces Paul (Roger Howarth) that she's carrying his baby (though WE know she really isn't). So of course, Paul is totally thrown for a loop, but plans to confess the whole truth to Meg (Marie Wilson) -- until he sees Barbara (Colleen Zenk). She comes up with this super elaborate story, saying her prognosis is worse and all she really wants is to see him marry Meg before she dies. Wow, is she the queen of motherly guilt or what?

Meanwhile, Sofie spills the beans to Mike (Jon Prescott), who runs right to Meg, who -- big surprise -- storms right over to confront her young rival. After that, things get really crazy, and we don't want to give away too many details ... but we CAN tell you one really big, juicy, scandalous spoiler: Sofie DIES! And you better believe her untimely demise is going to have some serious repercussions for everyone involved.

Pretty heavy, right? How about some good news? Tom (Scott Holmes) and Margo (Ellen Dolan) celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this week. We don't know about you, but we think it's sooo refreshing that there's still at least one happy, thriving couple living in Oakdale. Now, if only they could share a little of that blissful magic with Brad and Katie. And Luke and Noah. And Holden and Lily. Oh, the list goes on ...
