There Goes the Neighborhood

Someone call up Luke Perry and get him to reconsider his no new "90210" decision -- Shannen Doherty may be returning. The possibility, which once seemed a fan pipe-dream, has become a reality, with Access Hollywood reporting that Shannen is in talks with show producers to make it happen.
But Brenda with no Dylan? That's like the Peach Pit without Nat. Andrea without the self-righteousness. Donna Martin without the graduates.
Word is the hold-up on a concrete deal for Doherty centers on storyline -- with previous cast member Jennie Garth playing a guidance counselor and Tori Spelling a fabulous boutique owner, what's left for our Bren? Last we saw her she was off to some shmancy British theatre school, so a ridiculous Hollywood career seems about right to us.
Of course, even if she gets a great role, money might be an issue as well. Entertainment Weekly reports that Shannen wants more than what's currently been offered her.
We say negotiate Shannen! For the good of the land!
What do you think adult Brenda should be like?

I too would rather see the original cast of 90210 at the forefront of the series. We've already seen them as teenagers, college students, and in they're careers. Now, I would like the show to take off showing them with they're kids.

I think its stupid to bring back the original cast if they are only going to play the supporting roles. I could care less about a new bunch of bratty spoiled teenagers. There are over a dozen other programs like Gossip Girl, The Hills, etc... for that lame audience. Sorry. I loved the old 90210 but I have no plans to watch this new one.

I agree with westbev. There is no need for another teeny bopper show. Give us 90210 the later years! Yay Brenda! Please come back!
