Pete Wentz: "I'm Becoming My Dad"

Just when you thought he and Ashlee Simpson were those unbearably hip Hollywood types, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz 'fesses up that they're not as glam as they seem. "I'm becoming my dad, actually," he told Ryan Seacrest on his L.A. radio show yesterday.
So what, his dad's a hipster, too? Not quite. "I get up at 7am to drive [to work] down Sunset with traffic that I complain about," said Pete. "And then I come home, and I have a pregnant wife and two puppies."
His daily duties include "cleaning up puppy poop" and filling his new wife Ashlee's pregnancy penchant for "green olives and pickles! Green olives on EVERYTHING!"
Ew! Like ice cream, even? Turns out Ash's cravings are an "anytime kind of thing," he explained. "You always have to be ready."
If Pete's new life sounds boring, he swears it's not. In fact, Pete confessed his new goal is to "live in the suburbs and hang out with my kid. It's really, really, really, really exciting."
Especially when he actually gets to see the growing evidence of Baby Wentz. "I heard women become mothers when they become pregnant, and boys become fathers when the baby is born," Pete said. "So I don't feel all the physical things, but when I'm in the doctor's office, I freak out. It's this crazy thing, this thing you made. It's like making a record, but knowing you're going to mix it for the next 18 years of your life."
Uh-huh. Making a record. Sure. Anyway! Pete said that he and Ash still don't know whether it's a boy or a girl, but are "hoping the doctor will be able to see something in the next couple of weeks." Either way, we probably have a rocker on our hands!
What parenting advice would you give Pete and Ashlee?
