From "The Hills" to the Hill?

If Scarlett Johansson can have an email relationship with Barack Obama, why shouldn't Heidi Montag hang with a maybe-future-prez's daughter?

Usmagazine.com reports that Lady Montag, 21, and Meghan McCain, 24, were snapped doing lunch at the Ivy in Los Angeles on Tuesday. And the reality star was chummy enough with her newfound fellow blonde that they shared a hug before parting ways.

How did this odd couple pair up? Probably because the McCains are hardcore "Hills" fans ... kinda.

Back in April, a newly-registered Heidi declared that she's "voting for John McCain. I'm a Republican," she explained, "and McCain has a lot of experience." McCain responded with his own hearty endorsement. "I'm honored to have Heidi's support, and I want to assure her that I never miss an episode of 'The Hills,'" he said at the time.

... Sure. And you have viewing parties with Spencer Pratt pal David Letterman -- right, John?
