Alison Sweeney: Thinking Pink!

On "Days of Our Lives," she plays mom to twins. But in real life, Alison Sweeney is mama to one boy, Ben. Still, when shopping for kids' clothes, she admits to perusing the pinks instead of the blues.
So when she found out she was expecting her second, Alison clearly had her hopes set on a baby girl. "The whole experience of having a little girl, I'd love that," Alison told People last month. "Whenever I'm out shopping for Ben, my heart cries out for all those adorable little girls' clothes."
Looks like she hasn't been browsing in vain. The "Biggest Loser" host and her husband, Dave Sanov, are expecting a girl, due in January, they told ET yesterday.
While Alison's thrilled, Ben, 3, can't help but be a bit disappointed. "When we showed him a picture of the ultrasound and asked him, 'Would you like a little brother or sister?' he said 'Can it be a helicopter?'" Sweeney told People. "So ... we're working on it."
Aw, well. Can't win 'em all.

Congraulations to you and your family Ali! I too am having a girl due Sept 28th. This is my second child and my first is a girl as well.

Yes! Congrats to you Ali, your husband and of course to Ben! Like tiny691, I hope little Ben gets his helicopter too lol. We wanted two children so we were lucky and had a boy and then a girl too. BUT my "babies" are now grad students although they'll always be my babies of course. NOW I'm waiting (not very patiently though) for a GRANDCHILD! But so far, I'm only getting to be granny to their dogs and cats! I know you're doing this already Ali, but take it from a mom who is really having a problem with her empty nest...ENJOY your babies to the nth degree while they're little 'cause they grow up SO fast! Ben will LOVE being a big brother too. My son wanted a brother BUT he thought the baby would be born his age (which was 5 at the time) so he would have someone to play with at HIS age level. Well when my husband called him at his aunt's house & told him it was a girl, he threw the phone down and cried. But as soon as he laid eyes on his baby sister, he was hooked. She wrapped him around her little finger & he's still there although they're 29 and 24. There was only one problem. He was SO into Star Wars at the time (Return of the Jedi) so he told the nurse at the nursery he wanted to name his sister Chewbacca. Glad we worked THAT out lol. Your little girl will be lucky like ours. She's going to have a loving big brother who will ALWAYS love her and look out for her. That's an awesome relationship believe me. No matter how busy mine are, even today, they rarely go without talking at least once a day. I'm so happy for you all and wish all of you the very very best of everything. God bless you and your family Ali. Hug Ben for all of his cyber aunts and uncles out here ok? :-) Since I don't have a grandchild yet, give him a really big one from me! :-)

Congratulations Allison you are my hero. I love you on the show you keep everyone on their toes and that makes it great. Good luck with the baby. I have a 2 yr old girl and believe me they are worse than boys lol.
