Psst! Love Requited for Riggins?

We KNEW there was a reason that critically-acclaimed but low-rated "Friday Night Lights" was saved (that is, beyond its superior awesomeness quotient). At the show's presentation during the Television Critics Association press tour, actress Minka Kelly revealed that a long-unrequited love story is about to be resolved.

The Los Angeles Times reports that not only is Minka's character Lyla moving on from the "born-again phase" she entered after the tumult of Jason's accident and her parents' divorce, she's also finally giving not-so-secret admirer Tim Riggins a chance. "She's accepted it, happy with it," Minka told reporters of Lyla and Tim's relationship.

Of course, she might just be teasing the fans -- Taylor Kitsch, who plays the aforementioned admirer, responded to the news with surprise. "I hadn't even heard that," he said.
