Prom Night Lives Again

Do you remember "Prom Night: The Musical"? We certainly do, cuz we're still singing most of the songs in our head. In fact, we liked it so much we put it in our top 40 "OLTL" stories list.

Anyway, here's the good news: Since most of us aren't Bo and Rex (Robert S. Woods and John-Paul Lavoisier) and can't time travel to watch the episodes back when they originally aired, you can now listen to "Prom Night" whenever you want. The entire soundtrack is available for download on iTunes!

The entire score is fabulous, but we've got some faves. First, Kathy Brier singing "Chemistry," an ode to romance teased under the terminology of high school chemistry class. There's a reason Kathy was the lead in "Hairspray" on Broadway. Plus the song won "OLTL" an Emmy! As did "Little Star," which Kassie DePaiva (as Blair) sings to onscreen daughter Starr. Kassie's a singer too, and it shows.

We think our ultimate fave, though, is "The Cheerleader is Always a Bitch." Sung by uber "mean girl" Britney (Portia Reiners), it's a shockingly accurate song about those evil girl cliques in high school. And, we're a sucker for anything that has the word "bitch" in it. We're kind of middle school like that.
