Heather Mills is fighting back!
The ex-wife of Beatles legend Paul McCartney just isn't satisfied with her divorce settlement -- she wants more.
To recap: Heather and Paul separated in 2006. A few weeks ago a court awarded the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant $48.7 million, plus $70,000 a year, along with nanny and school costs for Beatrice, the daughter she had with Paul.
So how could all that money not be enough? Heather feels she was given a bum deal. In court, Paul claimed he was worth $800 million, and the settlement was based on that. Well, Heather's saying Paul's got way, way more -- more like just over $1 billion. She wants her cut based on THAT. Apparently, a big factor is her daughter: She doesn't want Beatrice living a different lifestyle with mummy than with daddy. What kind of differences exist between the ultra-rich and the ultra-ultra-rich?
So Heather's hired a team of forensic accountants to ferret out the rest of Paul's cash. Dr Philip Beresford, who compiles the London Sunday Times "Rich List," commented: "All I would say is that we were surprised that the valuation of [Paul's] music rights and business assets were so low." So maybe Heather has a case?
Legal sources indicate the ruling was based on Heather's lifestyle needs. Even if Paul turns out to have more assets, that doesn't mean she'll get more dough.
Is Heather entitled to more, or is she just being greedy? Or is it something else entirely?
