Montel Williams's talk show may have ended its 17-year run back in May -- but his acting career is still going strong. He'll be taking over the role of Remy and Mel's rarely-seen University dean dad, Clayton Boudreau, on "Guiding Light" August 1 and August 5.
This isn't Montel's first stint on soaps. He played a judge on "All My Children" in 2002, and returned to play himself on the show later the same year. He's also appeared on a bunch of primetime series, including "My Name is Earl," "American Dreams," "Jag," "Touched by an Angel," and recently lent his voice to the feature film "War, Inc."
So, what can we expect from Montel's upcoming visit to Springfield? Rumor has it Clayton's going to be on hand to give his son some much-needed love and support. Does this mean Remy's situation with Ava is about to get a whole lot more complicated? It sure sounds like it! Especially since Remy's mom, Felicia (Kim Brockington), is also scheduled to stop by for a visit on August 1.
We can't wait to see the whole family back together!

I AM THRILLED THAT AVA WANTS TO HAVE REMY TAKE CARE OF THEIR BABY BOY, MAX. BILL LEWIS IS NOT RIGHT TO BE MAX'S FATHER AND IT IS NOT A RACE ISSUE. REMY WILL LOVE HIS BABY LIKE A FATHER SHOULD AND I THINK HIS MOTHER AND FATHER COMING TO TOWN IS A GODSEND. THEY ARE GOING TO BE THERE TO SUPPORT HIM IN HIS NEW ROLE AS DAD AND I THINK IT IS WONDERFUL!!!!!

The last comment was for Guilding Light story line about Remy and Ava's baby. How can Billy's family, the upright Lewis's, support this farce. And Billy's mom should just leave the show - she has no valid role at all.

Who the h-- is writing this stuff. Racism is still alive in the good old US of A and eveyone knows it, but why flaunt it by having whites exert their power to keep a black child that does not belong to them and has not been abandoned. Just taking a child "because you want to" it hideous and speaks VOLUMNS to the view of whites in this country. You all are going to lose a lot of viewers if you do not turn this s--- around. It should be offensive to EVERYONE with sense. I'm white and HORRIFIED!
