"Family Ties" Dad Gets "Restless"

What would we do, baby, without "Family Ties" alumni playing baddies on our favorite soaps?
Earlier this year, Justine Bateman -- the artist formerly known as Mallory -- played Ellie Leonard, Gabrielle's drug-dealing tenant on "Desperate Housewives." And boy howdy, was Ellie desperate.
Now Michael Gross -- a.k.a. Alex P. Keaton's dad! -- is joining the cast of "The Young and the Restless." But he's no sweetie like Steven Keaton on this show. Michael will play Lowell Baldwin, the long-lost father of Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).
As "Restless" watchers know, Michael Baldwin has been especially curious about his father recently. His mom Gloria (Judith Chapman) is tight-lipped about her shady past, so Michael hired Paul the private eye to investigate.

THE NEWMANS ARE MY FAVORITE.BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS THEY GO THREW THEY ARE STILL A STRONG FAMILY.AND BESIDES NIKKI AND VICTOR HAS BEEN AROUND A LONG TIME.AND THEY HAVE GRAND KIDS IN THEIR LIVES.

very happy to see michaels story line gettin stronger he is the best actor on daytime televison.. we love to watch him and kevin who can be very funny at times, and his mom, the three of them are great cant wait to see the next story line...

I saw on another web site that he is dressed as the preacher for "The Wedding" of Jana and Kevin---and the last coment is that Gorlia is "shocked"

Michael Gross is an EXCELLENT casting choice for Lowell "River" Baldwin. Not only is he already identified as playing another popular hippy-dippy dad, but he and Christian LeBlanc actually sort of look alike. I hope that Lowell doesn't turn out to be a bad guy after all (this bank murder thing could be chalked up to being young and stupid and not as serious as Michael has been led to believe--maybe it is a case of mistaken identity or guilt by association). It would be nice if he and Michael work out their issues and they eventually forge a bond...it would be nice if he became close with Kevin as well since his own dad was a big LOSER!! It would also be fun to see some potential competition between he and Jeffrey! Whoo-hooo good times ahead for the Baldwin clan!

Michael Gross is a excellent actor. Just saw him on a recent re-run of L&O-Criminal Intent. He can only add to the drama of Michael and Gloria!!!

I hope Sabrina lives. Nikki had a chance(s) with Victor. She would not be in this mess if she had followed Victor's advice in fact none of this would have happened because Victor still loved Nikki and and would have reconciled if he had not seen David kissing her.

I hope they don't get rid of sabrina,why should they? victor needs someone other than nikki.Him and sabrina made a lovely couple. They need to give nikki,victoria &nick a ran for their money!which they don't have(smile) why should victor put them back into his will? they don't deserve it they haven't showed him any respect.They need to kill off the writers if they mess this one up!Let's get it right for once!
