We now know what Scott Porter has planned for his recently announced free time! The "Friday Night Lights" actor, who producers say will have a diminished role in the show's third season, has been cast in the romantic comedy "The Good Guy."
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Scott, 29, will play Tommy, a "rising Wall Street star" in a promising new relationship. Everything seems to be going his way -- until he takes a "hapless new salesman" under his wing.
Tommy's aforementioned girlfriend, Beth, will be played by "Gilmore Girls"/"Traveling Pants" actress Alexis Bledel. The role of the salesman who befriends Beth and possibly brings Tommy down goes to "One Tree Hill" and "October Road" star Bryan Greenberg.
(Sidebar: Bryan's turn as single-dad Jake on the run from bad mom Nicki in "Tree Hill" has to be one of our favorites, ever. How can he take care of Jenny, date Peyton, AND play for the Ravens? Does no one understand?!)
What other TV stars are ready for the big screen?
