"Pushing" Fun at The Con

"Pushing Daisies," the eclectic drama series that made its debut last fall, took time out of shooting their sophomore season to present a panel at this year's Comic Con in San Diego. The entire cast was in attendance, as was creator Bryan Fuller -- and the show's visually gifted director and executive producer, Barry Sonnenfeld ("Men in Black," "Get Shorty"), moderated this totes fun panel.

The cast was stunningly attractive, charismatic, and engaging -- but Chi McBride stood out as the funniest of them all. At one point, while answering questions about what's in store for next season, Bryan told the audience we'll get to see both Chuck's and Ned's fathers as well as Emerson's mom. Chi chimed in with, "What y'all say about my mama?" The entire audience erupted in laughter.

We were also treated to a reel highlighting some of the moments from the upcoming season; they were so delicious, we wanted to eat 'em! We won't tell you too much -- but we CAN say the cast will travel to a nunnery, a bee factory, and a circus. There were some spectacular moments involving bees swarming out of corpse's mouth, and many clowns packed into a small car (natch). Bryan told the audience, "We like going to worlds CSI can't go to."
