Audrina Patridge: "Lauren and I Aren't Not Friends"

So it seems Audrina Patridge is finally coming out with it -- just in time to promote the new Season Three box set of "The Hills."

She told the L.A. Times recently that she and "The Hills" roomie Lauren Conrad "aren't not friends." Confused? Us too. So here's what that means:

"We live together, so yeah, we see each other a lot while the show is taping. Sometimes I see her when it's not," said Audrina.

Uh, that doesn't really clear that up at all. Do they hang when they're not shooting? You know, like, in "reality"?

"We don't have a lot of the same friends, but we try to reserve one night a week to hang out," she clarified. "In the fourth season, you'll see our fight gets cleared up. Basically, I just start doing my own thing separately from her and Lo [Lauren Bosworth], and I get busy. But you know, things change and friendships do drift apart sometimes. Lauren and I aren't not friends, we're just not as close as we used to be."

So essentially, they're acquaintances. Who sort of live together. When they're shooting their "reality" show. Anyway, Audrina wants you to know that she doesn't "really blame Lo," for the drifting of her friendship with Lauren. "[Lo] and Lauren have been friends for a long time."
