Barack Obama has to wait until November to find out his fate, but his wife has already been officially sworn in -- by Vanity Fair. Michelle Obama is on the 2008 International Best Dressed List, which was revealed yesterday in advance copies of the mag's September issue. Incidentally, Hillary Clinton and Cindy McCain didn't make the cut, but France's answer to the first lady did -- Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. The singer and former model also poses regally on the cover.

Looks like "Sex and the City: the Movie" finally tipped Sarah Jessica Parker over the edge and onto the hallowed roster. Other members of the eclectic bunch include English off-the-wall fashionista Tilda Swinton, the perennially put-together Ivanka Trump, and Mr. Modesty, Kanye West.

Brangelina make it into the couples category -- no surprise there. There's also one for siblings, so we fully expect to see the whole Jolie-Pitt brood in there within the next 18 years.

Speaking of couples, David Beckham makes an unexpected appearance on the list while Marc Jacobs's darling/clothing designer Posh does not. Brr! Must be pretty frosty in Chateau Beckham right now ...
