"The Hills" Are Alive with the Sound of Mariah

Manhattan's Gotham Hall was the scene of last night's celebration for the return of hit MTV reality show "The Hills." Along with stars Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port, First Daughter Barbara Bush attended the new episode premiere. Projected on a monster screen, it was the first installment in a 10-part arc picking up from last season -- with Lauren on her way to Paris.

After the screening, Mariah performed "I'm That Chick" and "Touch My Body," from her forthcoming album, "E=MC2" (due out April 15). She wrapped up the set with her hit "We Belong Together," while the audience sang along. Then the diva left the stage -- to wild cheers.

It was a totally glam serenade from Mimi, and the stars were thrilled. "I've always been a huge Mariah fan, and she's just so beautiful and talented," Lauren said. Audrina added, "Mariah is such an amazing singer." And Whitney explained she'd grown up with Mariah's music.
