New(ish) mommy Jennifer Lopez has signed onto a new film. Variety announced today that our favorite Jenny from the Block will next star in a movie called "The Governess."
The story centers around a professional thief who poses as a nanny (for a millionaire widower's three rowdy kids, natch) to pull off a bank heist. It all gets a bit too complicated when she falls for the millionaire and his brood (obvs), and she inevitably has to rethink her career choice. Aww, we love these thief-finds-love-and-gets-a-conscience stories!
The screenplay reunites Jennifer with "Maid in Manhattan" writer Kevin Wade, who co-wrote the script along with Wendy Braff. Nigel Cole ("Calendar Girls" -- remember that "naked old ladies posing for pictures" movie with Helen Mirren?) will direct.
Also worth noting is that the film has a SAG waiver -- which means it's strike proof, y'all. Ain't no potential picketing keeping our J-Lo from doing her thang.
Which other new mom do you want to see back to work on the big screen?
