Dirtier, Sexier "Money"

A gazillionaire family and their shocking secrets -- including a politician's down-low hook-up with a transsexual prostitute -- made '"Dirty Sexy Money" a great guilty pleasure in its first season. But life among the filthy rich Darlings is about to get even more scandalous.

"We're making this a glitzy, glossy, messy, dirty, sexy soap opera this year," creator Craig Wright told the Television Critics Association while on a panel with the cast. "We're taking the gloves off and going for it. It's more dirty, more sexy, and more money than it was ever before."

How? For starters, married Darling lawyer Nick (Peter Krause) will be tempted by some forbidden fruit -- his first love, the multi-divorced Karen Darling -- and he'll give in. "He is in love with Karen, as much as he doesn't want to admit it. As much as it's the wrong thing to do to give into that desire, it's there, and it's going to cost him," said Peter. Nick also deals with the ongoing mystery surrounding his father's death, the effect of sudden wealth on his family, and the unexpected appearance of a woman from his past.

Lucy Liu, last seen in the short-lived "Cashmere Mafia," will stir up trouble as attorney Nola Lyons. "I come in pretty full blast, getting in everyone's way," laughed Lucy. "She'll probably be getting on everyone's last nerve. This character doesn't really care who she steps on to get wherever she wants to go." As for romantic entanglements, Lucy mused, "I think I'll be romantically paired, maybe with everyone -- including the women! It's going to be colorful, that's all I can say!"
