Things always happen in threes. So, now that Dixie's coming back to "All My Children" and David's returning to "One Life to Live," we almost feel like we expected the news that Finola Hughes will revisit her "General Hospital" role as super spy Anna Devane.

Anna comes back to Port Charles on Friday, April 25, because she finds out that daughter Robin (Kimberly McCullough) is having a baby with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). Which means Ms. Devane's a grandmother. When last seen in 2007, Anna was jetting off with Dr. Noah Drake, Patrick's father.

Finola -- who hosts the Style Network's makeover show "How Do I Look?" -- has a history of soap-hopping with Anna. She originated the role on "GH" in 1985 and stayed with the show until Anna's presumed death in 1992 (with a brief visit as a spirit in 1995). In 2006, she rejoined "General Hospital," with occasional appearances since. Then there was her 1999-2003 detour to "All My Children," where she played Anna AND her twin, Alexandra (their nephew, Aidan, is still on the show). Are you sensing a pattern with these "A" names?
