Kate and Lance Call It Quits

We here at SoapNet are inspired to break into No Doubt's class break-up anthem, "Ex-Girlfriend," as we mourn the fizzling of the summer romance du jour -- that, naturally, of Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong.

The pair reportedly split this weekend after a brief, yet photo-op-filled, three-month romance that they took public in May, when they were spied dining together at a BBQ joint in New York City.

"There was no drama or ugliness -- they just decided to end things," a source told UsMagazine.com of the split, though reps for the pair had no comment. "There is no hatred, just sadness."

The pair, who hooked up shortly after Kate split with Lance's close pal Owen Wilson, were often spotted together in New York, L.A., Austin, and even at Cannes, though they never publicly acknowledged the romance.
