Meredith Has Issues. Who Would Have Thought?

In a Word: Sloan tries to be a normal human being, unsuccessfully. A big shot heart surgeon has surgery at Seattle Grace. Meredith's in therapy.

The Action: Meredith wants to quit therapy. Her shrink thinks that's a bad idea, as does the rest of the world. Derek is upbeat about the clinical trials. The patient this week is a woman who wants to push back the time of her surgery because her boyfriend missed his flight, and she wants to wait for him. Her sister, however, thinks the boyfriend's imaginary. This ain't gonna be pretty.

Derek's avoiding Rose after their bad sex. Derek and Meredith air all of their relationship drama through coded conversations about their patient, as usual. In a stunningly ill-advised move, Derek goes to Sloan for relationship advice. Sloan's trying to turn over a new leaf by having meaningful relationships after he learned his lesson from the nurses' job action. Sure, McSteamy, sure!

Meredith wants to blow away the delusional patient's false memories, but Derek's sympathetic to the woman. Mostly because he's used to Meredith destroying his own hopes and expectations. She punks out on her therapy when the therapist gets too close to the truth about her train wreck of a life. Derek delays the surgery to give his patient more time to believe in her fake boyfriend. Oh, but wait, the boyfriend's real and he doesn't arrive until the surgery is underway. The patient ends up in a coma, and the prognosis says she'll probably never wake up. The not-fake boyfriend is hot.

Sloan wants to talk now, but he ends up talking about threesomes with Hahn with Callie. To show him up, Hahn lays a kiss on Callie. Callie likes it a lot. Derek is a cad and tells Rose he basically wants a McRelationship, and for some reason she agrees. Meredith goes back to the shrink confesses about her mommy issues.

Walter Tapley (a famous surgeon) arrives at Seattle Grace for a risky double heart valve replacement ... for himself. Callie's worried about Cristina's mental health since Cristina's cleaning her apartment and doesn't care about Dr. Tapley being in the building. Hahn doesn't want to do Tapley's surgery because it's too risky. Also, Tapley developed the entire procedure. Webber's got more on his plate than the surgery -- he wants George to get him a date with Odell. George is also dispatched to check on Bailey's son on at the daycare center where he's punched another baby over a graham cracker.

Cristina's tanking her career by passing off Tapley's procedures to interns. She follows this up by being vile to George, then hits the bitchy trifecta by telling Lexie that Meredith hates her. Meredith lets this happen and doesn't deny the fact. Nice.

Webber lays down the law on Hahn and demands she do the surgery. Lexie confronts Meredith in the bathroom (where Meredith's shrink overhears) and forgives Meredith for being a horrible person. Tapley says he came to Webber for the surgery because he's old and alone and needed a friend to be there when he died.

Bailey has a huge blow up with her ex, and George wanders between them to remove the baby from the room. He's adorable with the baby. Tapley's surgery goes well, even though Hahn flips out in the middle of the procedure. George wants Tapley to put in a good word with Webber for him. Tapley has advice for George -- keep up the good work. Cristina has some advice for Lexie, too -- stop being nice. George juggles babysitting, grunt work, and being a plucky go-getter. Go, George, go!

Izzie confronts Rebecca about not being pregnant. Rebecca slips up on her web of lies, setting off Izzie's suspicions. Izzie tells Alex that Rebecca's not pregnant. Rebecca wants a boob job and goes to Sloan to "fix" her body to match her new, pretty face. Turns out Rebecca doesn't so much have a web of lies as she has PTSD from her injuries. Sloan actually seems almost human for once as he tells Izzie he thinks Rebecca needs a psych consult. Alex is predictably pissed off when he comes by Rebecca's ultrasound. Rebecca thinks she miscarried. Crackers. Alex wants to take care of Rebecca anyway. He continues to be a jerk to Izzie and oddly sweet to Rebecca.

Our Take: George is totally awesome and needs to call us, stat!

Your Take: Will they really go there with the Callie/Hahn relationship?
