In the Midwestern town of Springfield, a big lighthouse shines a "Guiding Light" on the off-kilter lives of the Spaulding, Lewis, Cooper, Marler, and Bauer clans. They all want to be happy families, but their constant lies, lust, and greed keep tearing them apart.
Part of the problem is that these people lack proper "boundaries": Kissing cousins get hitched, moms and daughters share lovers, and even the church reverend divorced a woman just to marry her sister. (Isn't there something in the Bible about that?)
The most infamous sinner in town? That would be Reva Shayne, the self-proclaimed "Slut of Springfield," whose exploits include sleeping and marrying her way through an entire family of oil millionaires. But Reva leads with both her heart and her gut, and ultimately she and her fellow Springfielders only want to love and be loved ... they just go about seeking their hearts' desires the wrong way. It's never dull to watch them screw up, then bravely put the pieces of their shattered lives together again.
Marcy Rylan tells all about why this is the best time to be a "Guiding Light" fan.
