The saying goes that behind every great man, there's a great woman, but on "MVP" -- there are two or three.
"MVP: The Secret Lives of Hockey Wives," goes behind the scenes of the privileged world of sports -- through the Mustangs hockey team -- where nothing is resolved quite as simply as the game itself.
Take team rookie Trevor Lemonde. He's got girlfriend Tabbi from his hometown, but he's attracting the attention of hockey princess Molly McBride. Molly's father, Mustang great Adam, has a secret drug problem he's keeping from her and mother Evelyn.
Meanwhile, team captain Gabe McCall's advances bring virginal daycare owner Connie Lewis into the "puck bunny" fold -- where she reunites with an old friend who's looking to bring her further into the often cutthroat world of wives and girlfriends.
"MVP" takes a new twist on an old theme: These women aren't arm candy -- they're arm vitamins.
