"Private Practice," a spin-off of the hugely popular doctor drama "Grey's Anatomy," follows world-class pediatric surgeon Dr. Addison Montgomery from Seattle Grace Hospital to Oceanside Wellness Center, a private clinic in Santa Monica, California. There she joins old pal Dr. Naomi Bennett and Naomi's ex-husband, Sam, plus a whole new team of medical pros whose love lives could use some emergency surgery.

Sam and Naomi are split up, but they still have to work together -- and raise their teenage daughter. Holistic physician Peter Wilder is still coping with his wife's death. Psychiatrist Violet Turner is an emotional yo-yo thanks to a tough breakup. Pediatrician Cooper Freedman pines for Violet while using casual sex to take his mind off her. Meanwhile, midwifery student and clinic receptionist Dell Parker struggles to be taken seriously -- while nursing a crush of his own.

The team faces plenty of the wild and weird medical situations Addison dealt with at Seattle Grace. But mostly, they go a little crazy in love, fall on their faces, and pick themselves up again ... just like we all do. Because it's not what you do that matters -- it's how you do it.
