Episode Name: "In Which Dell Finds His Fight"
Season 1, Episode 9
Original Airdate: December 5, 2007
In a Word: Dell gets it wrong on two counts. Coop continues his unhealthy relationship tendencies. Sam makes up his mind about Naomi.
The Action: Dell thinks his grandfather and buddies are being abused in their nursing home, but when he and Sam check it out, they learn that the geezers are really running an underground fight club. At first, they bond over the experience -- but that doesn't last. Dell gets pissy over Sam's treatment of Naomi and proclaims his love for her. Sam is SHOCKED. He's so mad, he tries to get Dell in trouble with Naomi. Worse, Dell busts a move on Naomi, kissing her right in the office and declaring his feelings. Not to be outdone, Sam grabs her later and lays one on her in front of Dell and Pete, announcing he doesn't care who knows they're together. (Oh, brother! Run, Naomi, run!)
The newlyweds from "In Which Addison Finds the Magic" come in because they're having trouble getting pregnant. Turns out the husband has a zero sperm count. They consider adoption, but somehow the team manages to extract sperm from the husband and impregnate the wife through in vitro.
Coop and Charlotte continue their secret "romance." This relationship mainly consists of her being mean to him and them having sex. She seems to think that hate-sex = dating. Maybe that's all she's ever known.
Our Take: Dell really doesn't stand a chance against Sam.
Your Take: Does Coop need to get just a little more self-respect?
Catch this sneak peak of the new season of "Private Practice."
