Jennie Garth in Tears over Tori
Jennie Garth is of two minds on the set of the CW's reimagined "90210." And it all comes down to her feelings about two former costars.
The 36-year-old actress told TV Guide about working with fellow "Beverly Hills" alum and one-time rival Shannen Doherty, "It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."
Explaining THAT ringing endorsement, Jennie added, "I'm not much of a small talker, and I don't think she is either. I was a little nervous because I hadn't seen or talked to her in 14 years. Everyone was making it out to be such a big deal that I think we both fell prey to having that affect us."
The build-up affected everyone else on set as well -- actor Ryan Eggold said "everybody was on pins and needles and sort of waiting to see how they'd react. They started off kind of tentative, but by the time we were five takes in, they were giggling and ...Full Article

Paris Wants a British BFF
"Paris Hilton's New BFF" isn't set to air on MTV until September 30 -- and already, the heiress has inked a deal for a British version. The format will largely be the same as the U.S. show, including challenges and a weekly elimination.
Though this is not the first time a American reality format has been sold overseas, it's pretty remarkable to have the same star appear in both versions. There's one notable difference, however: the UK series will focus more on Paris's life outside of the competition. The title won't be the same either; the acronym "BFF" apparently hasn't hit the British vernacular yet, so the show will be called "Paris Hilton's New Best Friend."
Paris outlined what she's looking for in contestants: "I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me and, most of all, who is real and won't be a backstabber." Well, we all know most reality ...Full Article

New Pair: Vena Cava & Via Spiga
Blake Lively has at least one thing in common with her on-screen character in "Gossip Girl," Serena van der Woodsen. They both really, really heart Vena Cava. So Blake must be beside herself with excitement at this juicy piece of news: Brooklyn-based Vena Cava is pairing up with shoe brand Via Spiga to create a four-piece capsule collection of footwear.
VC designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai made a special trip to Bologna, Italy, to learn the shoe-making trade from the best. They'll debut their efforts September 6 in NYC as part of their "Egyptomania" Spring '09 runway show. Sandals, gold, and jewel embellishments come to mind. We know next spring seems like an age away, but you'll need the time to save up for these fancy feet: The line will be priced from $300 to $850 and will be available exclusively at Via Spiga's SoHo store and online.
